About Us

The Instituto Universitario de Investigación en Estudios Norteamericanos Benjamin Franklin (Instituto Franklin-UAH) is a center of the Universidad de Alcalá founded in 1987. The Institute was created as a research center for North American Studies, and has focused on developing ways of institutional collaboration between the Universidad de Alcalá and other American universities. The Instituto sponsors research projects, organizes international meetings and conferences, and develops Spanish-language academic programs for English-speaking students.

Instituto Franklin-UAH has more than 30 years of experience in providing study abroad programs for American students. The study abroad programs offered by Instituto Franklin-UAH provide students with a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the Spanish culture by learning, living, and traveling in Spain.
